Dear mom and dad,

You both are gone
and have been for some time now,
but we still feel so lonely without you.

Cherished memories of you live in our hearts,
your lives were gifts to us.

Quietly we remember you
in the silence of our hearts.

Each thought of you, a treasure
while we are apart.

At times we are filled with longing;
your faces we would love to see,
To feel your warmth,
to hear your voices,
to have you back with us.

What's more dearer than a mother’s and a father’s love?

Then all too soon came the moments
when you were gone from our lives
leaving behind only memories,
and yet, oh, how we wish we could have been
much truer,
much dearer.

Mom and dad you are our brightest stars;
but we have only been able
to see you
off from afar.
